REGISTRATION AND EVENT POLICIES

These registration policies (“Registration Policies”) govern the Flooring Sustainability Summit Event (the “Event”), as presented by TCNA Expositions, LLC. (“Flooring Sustainability Summit”) and managed by Taffy Event Strategies, LLC (“Taffy”) (collectively “Event Hosts”). By registering for the Flooring Sustainability Summit Event, you agree to comply with these Registration Policies, that you have the right, authority, and capacity to be bound by them, and that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations made through June 15, 2024, will be subject to a cancellation fee of $99. Registrants who do not cancel prior to June 16, 2024, will be liable for the full registration fee. Discounts will not be applied to current registrations. No refunds will be granted after June 16, 2024.

Flooring Sustainability Summit reserves the right at any time to change the format (including, without limitation, from a physical event to a virtual event and vice versa), content, location, venue, opening hours, duration, dates, other timings, participants and/or any other aspect of the Event, in each case without liability. No refunds will be issued for these changes. Flooring Sustainability Summit reserves the right to cancel or change the date(s) of the Event at any time and for any reason in its sole discretion.  In the event of such cancelation or change, registrants will be eligible for a credit toward any rescheduled or future similar event that is reasonably close in time and place to the originally scheduled event, or, at Event Hosts’ discretion, a refund of registration fees paid.  The maximum liability of Event Hosts from such a cancelation or change shall be a refund of registration payments received from Registrant.  Event Hosts are not responsible for any other costs, including airfare, travel costs, or other claimed expenses or damages incurred by the registrants.

HOLD HARMLESS & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Your attendance at the Event is completely voluntary. As such, your attendance is at your own risk, and you voluntarily assume any and all risks and hazards, including without limitation, personal injury, illness, or otherwise, and hereby release the Event Hosts and their officers, employees, partners, contractors and vendors from any liability related to your attendance.

 

In no event will the Event Hosts be liable to Registrant for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental or punitive damages. The maximum liability of Event Hosts to Registrant in connection with the Event shall be a refund of registration payments received from Registrant.

SUBSTITUTION POLICY

Registrations can be altered and edited up until the badge is printed. Substitutions may be made at any time for the confirmed registrants of the Event; however printed badges are non-transferable once collected at the Event. Notice of substitution must be made be made in writing by the original registrant to Kathleen O’Driscoll at kodriscoll@taffyevents.com.

REFUSAL

The Event Hosts reserve the right without liability to refuse admission to, or to eject/block from, the Event (whether physical or virtual) any person in their absolute discretion, including (without limitation) any person who fails to comply with these Registration Policies or policies of the venue where the event is held, or who, in the opinion of the Event Hosts, represents a security risk, nuisance or annoyance to the running of the Event.  You agree to comply with all reasonable instructions issued by the Event Hosts, the venue owners, security personnel and/or management at the Event.

AGE POLICY

No one under the age of 18 is permitted to register for or attend the Flooring Sustainability Summit.

PHOTOGRAPHY/FILMING/RECORDING POLICY

You consent to filming, sound recording and photography at the Event, which may include, without limitation, filming, sound recording and photography featuring your image (the “Content”). You acknowledge and agree that Flooring Sustainability Summit is the sole and exclusive owner of all rights in the Content and hereby waive any and all: (a) rights in and to such Content, and (b) claims that you may have relating to or arising from the Content and/or its use.  Without limitation, Flooring Sustainability Summit shall be permitted to use the Content anywhere in the world for promotional and other purposes, without any payment or compensation.

No filming, sound recording, or photography of the Event is permitted, nor is transmission of audio or visual material permitted, unless expressly authorized by Event Hosts.  Registrant will acquire no ownership rights in any unauthorized filming, sound recording, or photography.  If any filming, sound recording, or photography is authorized, Registrant agrees to share with the Event Hosts and that Event Hosts shall have a fully paid worldwide license to use such content.

DATA TERMS OF USE

Registrant agrees to receive email communications, alerts and updates from the Flooring Sustainability Summit concerning the 2024 event.

The personal data referred to on this form are processed for purposes relating to the performance of the Event. By providing consent, Registrant’s data may be used to keep you updated by Event Hosts.

Registrant’s personal data may be processed in a printed and/or electronic form using automated communication systems and will be used in connection with providing services related to the Event and in a matter consistent with the Privacy Policy available at available at https://tcnatile.com/privacy-policy/.

 

REMEDIES

The Event Hosts reserve the right to take any action they deem appropriate in their sole discretion with respect to violations of these Registration Policies. The Event Hosts expressly reserve all rights and remedies available by law or in equity.

CHANGES TO TERMS

Flooring Sustainability Summit reserves the right to amend these Registration Policies from time to time in its sole discretion. Registrant’s decision to attend the Event shall confirm its agreement to be bound to the Registration Policies in effect at the time of the Event.

FORCE MAJEURE

The Event Hosts are not responsible or liable for any non-performance or delayed performance resulting from any matter or circumstance beyond their reasonable control, including, among others, war, public emergency, pandemic, public health threat, calamity, strike, labor disturbances, fire, interruption of transportation or utility services, earthquake, weather event, explosion, volcanic eruption, unavailability of venue, or any other disturbances or restrictions that would frustrate or prevent the Event from occurring.  The Event Hosts are under no obligation to make any refund or pay any other amounts to Registrant in such situation.

GOVERNING LAW

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of the attendance of the Event or these Registration Policies shall be governed by the State of South Carolina without giving effect to any choice or conflict of law provision or rule.

Jurisdiction and venue for any court proceedings arising out of the attendance of the Event or these Registration Policies shall be vested and laid exclusively in the state or federal courts sitting in Anderson County, South Carolina. Registrant waives any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over Registrant by such courts and to venue in such courts.

NONWAIVER AND SEVERABILITY

Any failure by the Event Hosts to enforce or assert any right under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver or its rights to enforce or assert rights under that provision or any other provision of these Registration Policies.

If any provision of these Registration Policies is held invalid or unenforceable by a court or other tribunal of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be eliminated or limited to the minimum extent such that the remaining provisions of these Registration Policies will continue in full force and effect.
